Charles Blacknall - Rec Player

    PLAYING EXPERIENCE: 2 +

    CURRENT GUN:

  • ACI F4 Illustrator SX. Has a Sub-Zero Expansion Chamber, Zero Gravity Barrel, 12 oz. Anodized Tank, Splashed Body.

    Tournament Experience:

  • In the two years of playing Paintball I have met many people who play the game. I have been in two tournaments. One of them was at a field about 30 min. away from my house called War Games. There was about 100 people there so it was a small tournament. But all players had fun and it was good experience. My Second tournament was in January when my local field (War Zone) had a tourney. There were way more people here than at war games. I placed 14th on the 1on1 games.

    Philosophy(Goals):

  • My Goals as most other Paintballers is simple, I want everyone in The world to be able to walk up to me and say " Oh you play Paintball? That is the Safe sport right?" The only reason Paintball is not growing much faster is because Mothers are afraid for their kids shooting at another kid. "It Promotes violence." One might say. That is untrue. Paintball teaches how to work as a team, Paintball teaches bravery, Paintball teaches you how easy it is to get killed in a Gang war with real guns. Paintball teaches NOTHING that is not worth learning. In school they tell us how many people think gangs are cool and that kids think that they can't die because they have a gun too and think they will shoot first. After one game of Paintball they will change there tune. Now that I know how easy it is to die I will never join a gang. All my Goal for the sport is that it will Grow and grow and grow as a sport should and that everyone can have a good time with it.

    Paintball History(Background):

  • I have been playing Paintball for two years and Three months. I have loved every game of it. People at the field know me as the guy who helps out the newbie when his gun breaks down I will lend him mine and sit out that game, or help ref. Because I believe that if I help him out he will have A good time and come back and tell his friends and then the sport will grow. I also have been told by my scout leader (yea boyscouts) that I am a good leader. People naturally follow me. I take it in stride. When picking teams I know not just to pick the people I know that are good but also, I know what it is like to be the guy in the back who never gets picked and when the teams are even he is sent away Because then it would be unfair. I have been there and I don't let it happen to anyone if I can help it. after all the newbies are the future of the sport. We should take care of them and make sure they have a good time. I rember my first game the people at the field were very nice and that made me have a good time and I wanted to come back, And I did. Now I play paintball twice a month. Have a job at Outback Steakhouse where I get my Paint money. and I Help out at my local field every chance I get.

    Hardest teams to play against: Bob Long's Ironmen, Avalanche, and the All Americans
    Proudest moments: Winning the 1st Skyball tournament in 1998. 1st NPPL victory in Portland NPPL 1999. Watching our Amateur team, Ground Zero Gold, take #1 overall in the 1999 NPPL standings.
    Hardest players to face: The ones who know my game, some are friends, some are "sort of" friends: Billy Ceranski (Quite possibly the best), Denis Mood, Chris Lasoya, Adam Gardner, Ryan from Shock (Great Front Player), Richie & Greg Malisewski, Little John from Bob Long's Ironmen, Team Lockout, Gary Noblet(Spelling is probably off here), and so many more...
    Best advice given to me: "1. Always, with few exceptions, move with your gun up, ready to rip your opponents head off! 2. Win or lose, every game is a learning experience. 3. Be a good sport, not a sore loser. 4. Have fun!"
