PaintBall.com got a FlatLine!! We took it out to KC Crusaders 24 hour game and let it rip.
Hundreds of players got to see and shoot it. Let's just say that on an open field, it isn't fair. KC's has a river running through the field that you could lob balls over, but the players on the other side would just wave as you waisted your paint. Well that changed. The Tippmann FlatLine could reach out and touch them in ways they couldn't even understand. Refs were called in to look for the "hot" gun that was eliminating people across the river. When I was checked, I was shooting under 270 every time (field speed is 285). I did let the ref in on the secret and he wanted to see for himself. I let the FlatLine rip and all he could say was "MAN OH MAN!!! DO IT AGAIN!!"
Here is an e-mail sent to PaintBall.com.

I was playing at a 5 man tournament and after the tournament a man who represents Tippman showed us the new Flatline barrel. holy crow that barrel can shoot around trees and bunkers. now with the new barrels the 98 Tippmans can put the ANGELS to shame. everyone wants to bend their barrels on their guns to see if it works. good job tippman you boys did it again!!!!

Cute newbie w/FlatLine
Angela was a newbie and pumped about 1000 rounds through the Flatline.
FlatLine Targets
This picture was taken w/an 80mm lense. The human eye sees about 60mm. So, this picture is actually zoomed a bit. We were able to hit and break paint on all the circled targets.

FlatLine crowd
All the available players get their first look at the Tippmann FlatLine. Every eye is watching.

After a game, the refs set up an area to show some of their own what the gun can do. Easy to see what this ref thinks of the FlatLine.
FLSerious
A ref and a player give the FlatLine some serious consideration.

Jason Morton gets to run with the FlatLine (so I can take some pics). It takes a bit to get used to it.

Jason's first elimination. Right in the center of the face mask. The guy was close though.

Jason is an aggressive player. He pushed when he didn't have to. Nice color though.

Jason takes a better spot for the second game. High ground with plenty of room to shoot.

Jason got him. I asked the player how he got shot. His answer... "I have no idea where it came from."

Another one down. You can't see the paint on the lens and under the visor. Turns out Jason is a pretty good shot.
